Oscilloscope Laboratories announced today that it has acquired U.S. distribution rights to 2-time Academy Award® winning director Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman's first dramatic narrative HOWL. Starring James Franco in a career-defining performance as Allen Ginsberg, HOWL is the story of how the young poet's seminal work broke down societal barriers in the face of an infamous public obscenity trial.

IFC Films, one of the leading American distributors of independent and foreign films, announced today it has acquired U.S. rights to LIFE DURING WARTIME, the latest from award-winning writer-director Todd Solondz. 

Werc Werk Works announced today that Academy Award Nominee Greg Kinnear, Academy Award Winner Alan Arkin and Billy Crudup are set to star in “The Convincer,” a Midwestern crime drama written by Jill Sprecher and Karen Sprecher and to be directed by Jill Sprecher.  Producers are Mary Frances Budig, Christine Walker and Elizabeth Redleaf for Werc Werk Works.

It was announced today that indie production and finance shingle Werc Werk Works has come on board to produce and fully finance “Howl,” starring James Franco. It has been confirmed that Fortissimo Films has acquired international rights from Werc Werk Works to Todd Solondz's LIFE DURING WARTIME (aka Forgiveness) and will commence pre-sales at Berlin's EFM (European Film Market) next month. Filmmühely, French production company Movie Partners in Motion FILM, Swiss production company Vega Film AG and German outfit Zero Fiction Film.
